Beat It with Michael Jackson at the Anaheim Honda Center
“Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour,” put on by the Estate of Michael Jackson and Cirque du Soleil, will be making a stop at the Anaheim Honda Center on January 24 and 25. The show was written and directed by Jamie King, famous concert director in pop music.
Anyone who’s seen a Cirque du Soleil show will agree that it is a perfect match for Michael Jackson’s music and choreography. The production has been called “electrifying” with a “unique view into the spirit, passion, heart of the artistic genius who forever transformed global pop culture.” The show uses visuals, dance, music and illusions to immerse audiences into Jackson’s imagination and explore his moves from different perspectives. The show was designed to appeal to lifelong fans as well as those new to the King of Pop.
The show features Jackson’s Giving Tree, which is the centerpiece of his creativity. Jackson’s music and performances express the themes most important to him: love, peace and unity. The tour will feature 60 international performers and is directed by the “Jerry Bruckheimer of tent-pole concert tours. ” Jamie King has choreographed many popular music videos and several highest-grossing concert tours from Madonna, Rihanna, Celine Dion, Britney Spears, Spice Girls and Avril Lavigne.
