Celebrate Super Bowl Sunday at Surf City Marathon!

If you’re looking for a fun way to spend Super Bowl Sunday, sign up for the Surf City USA Marathon in Huntington Beach! Those staying in 
Anaheim hotels near Huntington Beach have the opportunity to discover the Orange County city that defines Southern California – a laid back beach city. It is perfect for barefoot beach strolls and California sunsets. The California Classic Oceanfront Marathon includes an expo, beer garden and restaurants for an amazing day in Orange County!
Highlights of the event include surfboard metals, an oceanfront course, free parking, shuttles, long sleeve participant tees, a beach party with free beer, Super Bowl parties and much more! The weather will average 48 degrees at the start of the race and 68 degrees at the finish. The California Lifestyle Expo will be open Friday, February 1 and Saturday, February 2 from 3pm to 7pm and 9am to 6pm.
The race includes a marathon and half marathon. The half marathon is the most popular track as it is scenic and flat. You start along the Pacific Coast Highway and pass by the famous Huntington Beach pier. More than 2,000 volunteers and several surf bands will cheer you along the course. Aid stations along the way will have fresh water, Vitalyte sports drink, energy foods, and snacks. The race starts at 6:30am with four start waves.
From 7am to noon, entertainment will be provided by The Breakaways, The Riptides, Goofyfoots, High Tide, Lulelemon with DJ, The Mai Tais and Johnny C Band along the course. From 8am to 10:30am, The Fabulous Nomads will play at the Beer Garden. From 10:45am to 1:15pm, The Outer Wave will perform. Your race bib and ID will allow for some freebies at the beer garden. The half marathon is nearly sold out so buy your tickets today to guarantee your spot!
