Are you taking a trip to Disneyland on Labor Day Weekend? If you’re staying in Anaheim CA hotels, be sure to take some time to check out the
Orange International Street Fair on Chapman Avenue nearby. Join the celebration of over 40 years of international food and culture in Orange County!
This year’s theme is “Home Grown, Internationally Known.” The event will cover the streets with 15 cultures represented by 42 food and alcohol booths. All booths are run by local non-profits. Arts & crafts vendors will also be selling their handmade works. In the Community Booth section, local non-profits will showcase the causes they support. The Commercial section will advertise local businesses. A Street will feature kids activities, crafts and games. Eight stages of entertainment will be located around the plaza featuring local bands, ethnic music and popular tunes all weekend long.
Cultures represented at the Fair include German, Norwegian, Polynesian, Danish, American, Mexican, Italian, Australian, Ginza, Asian, Irish, English, Dutch, Gerek and Swiss. The Fair offers a unique opportunity to experience the world in one plaza through food, art and music. Bands that will play during the weekend include Synthesi, The Fabulous Nomads, The Europa Bands and The Balance Band. For a full schedule of the weekend’s music, click here.
In 1973, the city of Orange was celebrating its 100th anniversary. Inspired by the Orange Street Fair of 1910, the city decided to celebrate their centennial with an international fair. The event was so successful that it has become an annual tradition during Labor Day Weekend. Take a break from Disneyland to experience another culture at the Orange International Street Fair this Labor Day weekend!
