Spend Mother's Day at the Sunset Beach Festival!

If you’re staying in hotels by Disneyland CA for Mother’s Day Weekend, be sure to stop by the Sunset Beach Art Festival to enjoy the sun! There will be shopping, music, food and lots of fun all weekend. Over 150 artists and will display their wares so it’s a perfect place to find a last minute Mother’s Day gift!

Craft booths will be on the grassy area between North Pacific and South Pacific from Broadway to 7^th Street. Whether you’re looking for unique jewelry or beautiful paintings or a hand blown glass vase or original clothing; you’ll definitely find something to please your tastes at this festival. Many items here are not mass produced.  

There will be live entertainment at the Community Center, and a juried art exhibit at the former Firehouse. Local artists will exhibit up to 3 pieces of artwork in watercolor, oil/acrylic, photography and mixed media. The Kids Zone on 12^th Street has activities especially for your children. They can get their faces painted, play games or make crafts all weekend.

One of the festival’s traditions is the Art Festival Quilt. Members of the community created the different squares of the quilt, which is stitched together by a quilting group. The quilt will be raffled off after being displayed at the Firehouse. You can buy tickets for $5 each or 5 for $20. The winner need not be present to the drawing. Tickets can be purchased before the festival at Salt Water Licks at 22^nd Street and Pacific Coast Highway in Sunset Beach.

The Sunset Beach Art Festival is put on by Las Damas and the Sunset Beach Community Association. Hope to see you at this sunny festival!
