Spend Valentine's Day at Downtown Disney!

Those of you staying in hotels around Disneyland CA for Valentine’s Day are in the right place! Downtown Disney District is one of the best date places in Southern California. You can watch classic movies , dance under the stars and gaze into each other’s eyes over a romantic dinner and so much more.

For three nights, big bands will take over the main stage at Downtown Disney District. You and your date can dance the night away in our dance-off competition for prizes. Lessons will also be available on-site. Jazz tunes will play from 6 to 10pm all weekend. Here is the line-up:

Thursday, February 14: The Side Street Orchestra

Friday, February 15: Dan Methe Swing Cats & Swing Kittens

Saturday, February 16: Dave Eastly & Swingtown

You can also see some of the greatest love stories in the history of Hollywood at AMC Downtown Disney 12. See “Gone With the Wind” in a limited-time engagement and sweep your lover away with the glorious south. AMC is also showing “Somewhere in Time,” the tale of star-crossed lovers who cross time to find each other, starring Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeve.

Several restaurants will feature special menus for Valentine’s Day.  You can visit Catal Restaurant for seared scallops, braised short ribs, roasted filet mignon duo and delicious deserts. Or you can opt simple at the House of Blues with an endive salad, sea bass and strawberry chocolate torte.  Reservations can be made at Disney Dining at 714-781-DINE.

Other fun Valentine’s Day activities at Downtown Disney include horse-drawn carriage rides with souvenir photos and shopping at the Pearl Factory or Build-A-Bear Workshop. There will be plenty of sweets available at Marceline’s Confectionery for your sweetheart!
